Switch Feel
The HMX SU Purple R2 has made improvements from the HMX SU R1, most notably in its factory lubrication and leaf contacts. It is consistent with HMX tolerances, providing a clean typing experience with no key wobble. The improved factory lubrication also allows for smooth keypresses without any noticeable scratch.
Switch Sound
With the new improvements, the HMX SU Purple R2 has a cleaner and more refined sound than the HMX SU R1. Due to the more consistent factory lubrication, the HMX SU Purple R2 produces a clean and thocky overall sound, making the HMX SU Purple R2 one of the deepest HMX switches. If you have enjoyed HMX switch quality and want to have a more deep and low pitched typing experience, then the HMX SU Purple R2 will be worth the try.
