Switch Feel
The Durock Mocha Silk lives up to its name by having a silky-smooth typing feel. It comes lightly factory lubed on the entire rail-side of the stem. The factory lube appears to be evenly applied with a mixture more resembling a thinner oil rather than a thicker lubrication. The Durock Mocha Silk has a comfortable spring weight that is more in the middle ground than the recent releases of switches that have been on the lighter side. This make the Durock Mocha Silk an attractive choice for those who are used to a more traditional typing feel.
There is some slight stem wobble in both the N/S and the E/W direction, however this does not affect the Durock Mocha Silk performance during typing. One thing to note is that the Durock Mocha Silk has a slight syringe effect at the top of the initial key press. Although it is not noticeable during normal typing, it could be slightly noticeable during slow single keypresses. This could be remedied with a more even application of lubrication by hand.
Switch Sound
The Durock Mocha Silk has a full-bodied bottom out that produces a sound in the mid to lower tones. On key returns, the Durock Mocha Silk creates a soft and poppy sound in the mid to high tones. This gives the Durock Mocha Silk a versatile range of sound, although it does seem to favor a solid and thocky sound profile.
There is a slight scratch when activating the Durock Mocha Silk at very slow speeds and at ear level. During normal typing sounds refined without any unnecessary noises like spring ping, leaf chatter, or any plastic-y rattle.

Durock Mocha Silk Features
The Durock Mocha Silk features a long pole stem that has a unique shape for the tip of the stem pole. It has a small, rounded protrusion comparable to the shape of a ball point pen. This design may have an effect on why the Durock Mocha Silk sounds the way it sounds. The Durock Mocha Silk also features a removable LED light diffuser similar to some other Durock switches like the Durock Black Lotus.
