Switch Sound
The HMX Violet is consistent with the classic HMX sound profile: clean and bright. For reference, the HMX Violet sounds similar to HMX Cheese and sounds slightly brighter and higher pitched than the HMX Hyacinth. In comparison to the JWK WOB, the HMX Violet has a slightly more solid and harder sound possibly due to the PC top housing.
Here are some sound tests of the HMX Violet:
As the JWK WOB and the HMX Violet both have a long pole stem, they have the signature long pole sound profile. The JWK WOB sounds similar to the HMX Violet but deeper, possibly due to the heavier spring or the PA top housing, in comparison to the PC top housing of the HMX Violet.

Switch Feel
The HMX Violet and the JWK WOB both come slightly factory lubed. In their stock form from the factory, both the HMX Violet and the JWK WOB are smooth with little to no scratch. The HMX Violet has almost no stem wobble, consistent with the rest of the HMX line. The JWK WOB also has tight tolerances and little stem wobble, but in comparison to the HMX Violet there is a slight stem wobble.
Things to Note
Modifications such as adding switch films usually help minimize housing wobble, but the HMX Violet does not seem to require due to its tight housing. The switch sounds and feels great in stock form straight from the factory. For the JWK WOB, we think adding films helps minimize stem wobble.
