Switch Feel

The BSUN x Zuoce Marshamallow R1 feels very smooth and creamy to type on. It comes factory lubed with a good amount of lube focused on the sides of the stem with the stem rails and the stem legs. The factory lube is thicker than some oil based factory lube which allows the BSUN x Zuoce Marshamallow R1 to feel buttery smooth without any scratch. The BSUN x Zuoce Marshamallow R1 has a little bit of stem wobble, more noticeable in the N/S direction, although because of the thick layer of factory lube, there is no large feeling of stem wobble during typing. The BSUN x Zuoce Marshamallow R1 would be a great choice for those looking for a smooth switch that is thoroughly lubed from the factory and ready to use right out of the box.

Switch Sound

The BSUN x Zuoce Marshamallow R1 has a mid toned typing sound created from its soft mid toned bottom out sound, and the soft top out. You definitely tell the BSUN x Zuoce Marshamallow R1 is factory lubed with how creamy the typing feel sounds and without any scratchiness. The BSUN x Zuoce Marshamallow R1 would be a great choice to use if you are looking for a mid toned and soft sounding switch.

BSUN Cinnamon Pink Linear Switches

  • Type: Linear
  • Top Material: POM
  • Bottom Material: POM
  • Stem Material: LY
  • Actuation Force: 37g
  • Bottom Out Force: 42g
  • Mount: 5 pin
  • Total Travel: 3.45m
  • Factory Lubed: Yes

Switch Feel

The BSUN Cinnamon Pink has a very clean typing feel. It comes factory lubed like the BSUN Marshamallow, although just slightly less on the sides without the rails. The BSUN Cinnamon Pink also has virtually no stem wobble, especially notable in the E/W. In comparison to the BSUN Marshamallow, the BSUN Cinnamon Pink has much tighter stem and housing tolerances, providing a more isolated typing feel, despite the lighter application of factory lube. There is some scratchiness on off centered keypresses, although it is not noticeable during normal typing. The BSUN Cinnamon Pink would be a nice option to try if you want a clean feeling typing experience with less stem wobble.

Switch Sound

The typing sound of the BSUN Cinnamon Pink is in between the mid tones and the high tones. It has a more mid toned sound profile, but due to its sharp bottom out sound, it produces a slightly higher pitch on bottom out for heavy typers. The BSUN Cinnamon Pink sounds slightly scratchy in comparison to the BSUN Marshmallow, but still produces a clean isolated sound during normal typing. The BSUN Cinnamon Pink would be a great switch to try if you are looking for a switch that well lubed from the factory but sounds and feels just lightly lubed.

HMX Canglan V3 Linear Switches

  • Type: Linear
  • Top Material: PA12
  • Bottom Material: Modified Nylon
  • Stem Material: POK (Pole bottom out)
  • Actuation Force: 42g
  • Bottom Out Force: 50g
  • Spring: 20mm
  • Mount: 5 pin
  • Pre travel: 2mm
  • Total Travel: 4mm

Switch Feel

The typing feel of the HMX Canglan V3 provides a comfortable experience that combines the feeling of a full travel switch but with a pole bottom out. Perfect for those who enjoy a full travel typing experience as well as those who enjoy a long pole bottom out feel. The HMX Canglan V3 comes lightly factory lubed on the rails of the stem with a thin layer of oil, as well as a layer of lube on the stem legs with thicker layer of lube. The tolerances on the HMX Canglan V3 push the limits of housing tolerances. There is no stem wobble at all.  There is also no sticky syringe-like feeling at the top of the keypress that existed in some switches that also had extremely tight tolerances. The HMX Canglan V3 is one of the cleanest feeling switches in the current market, perfect for those who have sensitive fingers or just want the most controlled typing feel.

Switch Sound

The HMX Canglan V3 has a deep and muted typing sound, making it stand out especially among other HMX switches which typically have a sharp and high pitched sound profile. The HMX Canglan V3 hard bottom out due to the long pole stem, however it still produces a softer and more muted sound than other long pole switches. On key return, the HMX Canglan V3 has the usual soft and poppy sound of HMX switches. When listening to the switch at ear level, there is a very slight hint of scratch, but when typing with them installed in a keyboard it is not noticeable at all. The HMX Canglan V3 would be a fun switch to try if you are looking for a creamy and muted sound profile, or for those who have tried HMX switches before and would be interested in trying a deeper and creamier typing sound.

  • Bottom Housing Material: PA66
  • Spring: 22mm/20mm Single-stage Spring

Switch Feel

The Keygeek Xiaoba feels smooth to type on with the light factory lube. Out of the switches in this list, the Keygeek Xiaoba has the thinnest layer of factory lube on the stem, although there is a thick layer on the legs of the stem as well as a thick layer on the bottom housing where the spring sits, helping to provide a controlled keypress without any spring ping. There is a little bit of stem wobble in all directions, with the most flexible tolerances in comparison with the switches in this list. Despite the thinner layer of factory lube, the Keygeek Xiaoba still provides a smooth and typing experience. The Keygeek Xiaoba would be a good switch for you if you prefer to have a more flexible typing experience.

Switch Sound

The Keygeek Xiaoba has a creamy yet bright typing sound due to the sharp bottom out. In contrast it has a soft and creamy top out on key return. The Keygeek Xiaoba has a light layer of factory lube which focuses the sound mainly on the materials used in its design. The ball shaped stem bottom allows the Keygeek Xiaoba to have a sharp yet even dispersed creamy bottom out in comparison to a flat stem bottom design. The Keygeek Xiaoba would be a good switch to try if you are looking for a switch that is less dependent on factory lube and sounds clean and creamy due to its design and materials.

  • Actuation Force: 48±5g

  • Total Travel: 3.8mm

Switch Feel

The Keygeek x MZ Y3 is designed with Keygeek's newest molds to deliver a smooth typing feel right out of the box. Consistent with Keygeek's factory lube, the stem and spring of the Keygeek x MZ Y3 are lubed with a thin oil in order to maximize smoothness and minimalize any sluggishness. And although the Keygeek x MZ Y3 has a total travel of 3.8mm, it feel more similar to a full travel switch than a shorter travel switch with a soft feeling bottom out. There is a tiny bit of stem wobble but not noticeable during normal typing.

Switch Sound

The Keygeek x MZ Y3 is one of Keygeek's deeper sounding switches. With a 3.8mm total travel, the Keygeek x MZ Y3 has a slightly longer travel distance than the average long pole switch. This produces a slightly softer and quieter bottom out than your usual long pole stem. Its material choices creates a switch that sounds lower pitched and creamy than other Keygeek switches with tones in between the mid to lows. There's just a hint of scratch when hearing the switch at ear level, but not noticeable during normal typing thanks to the layer of thin oil. There's also no spring ping due to them being factory lubed with the thin oil as well. The Keygeek x MZ Y3 would be a great choice for those who are looking for a smooth and creamy sounding switch with a good balanced feel.
