Typing Feel

Outemu Cream Yellow

Despite the silent dampening, the Outemu Cream Yellow retains the tactile feedback which allows users to feel each keystroke without disturbing those around them. The Outemu Cream Yellow has a tactile bump at the top of the keypress and has a similar crispness as the Boba switches. The Outemu Cream Yellow offers a smooth and satisfying typing feel without sacrificing the tactility for quietness, which makes them an ideal choice for shared spaces.

Outemu Silent Lemon V2

The Outemu Silent Lemon feels to have a slightly smaller tactile bump than the Outemu Cream Yellow. Coupled with its lighter actuation of 35g, the Outemu Silent Lemon is a good option to try if you want a lighter silent tactile than the Outemy Cream Yellow. There is some slightly stem wobble but not noticeable during normal typing due to the silicone dampening pads. The Outemu Silent Lemon also has a longer spring than the Outemu Cream Yellow, which provides a slightly more responsive key return. The Outemu Silent Lemon is worth the try if you are looking for a light and fast silent tactile switch.

Outemu Honey Peach V2

The Outemu Honey Peach feels smooth and and soft, due to the factory lube and the silicone dampening. There is some stem wobble but it does not create extra plastic noises or scratch due to the silicone pads on the stem rails. The Outemu Honey peach has a light actuation force of 40g allowing for a comfortable typing experience. It also has a longer spring length than the Outemu Silent Ocean, creating a more responsive feeling key return. The Outemu Honey Peach would be a solid choice to try if you are looking for a light and responsive silent linear switch

Outemu Ocean Silent

The Outemu Ocean Silent Linear switch delivers exactly what you’d expect from a linear switch: a smooth, uninterrupted keystroke with no audible click. The keypress is buttery soft, and consistent throughout the entire keypress. Since the Outemu Ocean is a silent linear, it’s designed to reduce noise significantly. The Outemu Ocean offers a very quiet keystroke, making it perfect for office environments or any shared spaces where noise might be a concern. The dampened bottom-out and smoother actuation help in minimizing any sound, making the Outemu Ocean one of the quieter linear switches on the market. The Outemu Ocean Silent Linear would be a great choice for a silent linear switch if you are looking for smooth actuations with a dampened bottom out feel.

Outemu Green Banana

The Outemu Green Banana has a very similar typing feel to that of the Outemu Cream Yellow and the Outemu Silent Lemon, since they use the same silicone design, with some slight differences. The Outemu Green Banana appears to have a slightly larger bump than both the Outemu Cream Yellow and the Outemu Silent Lemon, which could allow for a more controlled typing feel from the more noticeable tactile bump. The Outemu Green Banana also has a spring length that is similar to the Outemu Silent Lemon, and longer than the Outemu Cream Yellow. The longer spring length creates a faster key return allowing for a more responsive typing experience. The Outemu Green Banana would be a great choice to try if you like the responsiveness of the Outemu Silent Lemon but would like to feel a more distinct tactile bump in the typing feel.

Typing Sound

Outemu Cream Yellow

The Outemu Cream Yellow Silent Tactile Switch offers a respectably quiet typing experience. Due to the silicone dampening mechanism, the Outemu Cream Yellow creates a soft and "creamy" silent typing sound.

Here is a sound test of the Outemu Cream Yellow:

Outemu Silent Lemon V2

The Outemu Silent Lemon is similar in volume to the Outemu Cream Yellow since they are both silent tactile switches that use the same silicone dampening design. Although, since the Outemu Silent Lemon has a longer spring length, it creates a faster key return and can produce a slight harder and louder top out when the key returns. The Outemu Silent Lemon and the Outemu Cream Yellow are both great choices for silent tactiles, and would ultimately come down to the spring length.

Outemu Honey Peach V2

The Outemu Honey Peach is also very similar in volume to the Outemu Ocean Silent. They are both silent linear switches the the same silicone dampening designs. Like the Outemu Silent Lemon, the Outemu Honey Peach has a longer spring than the Outemu Ocean Silent. This not only creates a more responsive key return, but also a slightly more audible top out, although it is hardly noticeable due to the silicone dampening. The Outemu Honey Peach would be a good silent linear to try if you want a similar volume to the Outemu Ocean Silent, and would want a slightly more responsive return after keypress.

Outemu Ocean Silent

The Outemu Ocean silent linear switches achieve a soft and dampened sound profile through the use of silicone dampeners on the stem railings. The Outemu Ocean uses a traditional method for dampening and is a great option for users who need a quieter typing experience for working, gaming, or shared spaces.

Outemu Green Banana

The Outemu Green Banana also has a similar sound to Outemu Cream Yellow. During normal typing it is hard to tell the difference among the Outemu silent tactile switches, but when listening very closely at ear level, the Outemu Green Banana sounds very slightly less quiet, possibly due to the longer spring and larger tactile bump. During normal everyday typing the Outemu Green Banana is just as quiet as the other Outemu silent tactile switches.

Outemu Linear Switches

 Outemu Dragon Fruit V3

Typing Feel

The Outemu Dragon Fruit has an overall light and responsive feel due to the long spring and light operating force. It comes factory lubed and although it is mostly applied to the stem rails, it provides a very smooth and silk typing feel with no noticeable scratchiness. The Outemu Dragon Fruit also has tight tolerances with its dustproof stem, and with only a tiny bit of stem wobble that isn't noticeable during normal typing. These would be a great option if you are looking for a linear switch with smooth and comfortable keypresses.

Typing Sound

The Outemu Dragon Fruit has a very bright and clacky sound profile. It has a sharp and high pitched sound on both the keypresses and the key returns, making the Outemu Dragon Fruit a great option for those who prefer a clacky typing sound. It comes well factory lubed on the stem rails and the spring, so there is no rattle or ping. The Outemu Dragon Fruit would be a solid option to try for those who want to have a bright and high pitched switch to use stock, or if you want to hand lube it yourself to further customize the sound.

 Outemu Pear

Typing Feel

The Outemu Pear has a light and responsive typing feel due to the light actuation force and short travel distance. It also has a slightly sharp tactile bump that creates a snappy feeling key press and key returns. Similar to the Outemu Dragon Fruit, the Outemu Pear has tight tolerances and hardly any stem wobble, allowing for a consistent and accurate typing experience. It comes lightly factory lubed on the stem rails and spring. The Outemu Pear would be a great option to try if you enjoy a a medium tactile bump with a short travel distance and light actuation.

Typing Sound

The Outemu Pear has a clacky sound profile in its stock form that has that familiar sound of snapping lego pieces together. It sounds bright and high pitched on both the bottom out and top out. Although it comes lightly factory lubed on the stem rails and the spring, there is a slight scratch possibly due to the other exposed sides of the stem. The Outemu Pear would be a fun switch to try if you want to try a higher pitched tactile that might remind you of building legos.

Outemu Clicky Switches

 Outemu Ocean Clicky

Typing Feel

The Outemu Ocean Clicky feels relatively smooth for clicky switch, since most clicky switches have a moving part to them to achieve the clicky sound. The Outemu Ocean Clicky uses a stem design with a similar idea to that of a Cherry MX Blue Clicky to achieve the clicky mechanism and feels significant smoother than the Cherry MX Blue. It comes very lightly lubed that is hardly visible, most likely to maximize the clicky-ness of the switch. There is a bit of stem wobble in the E/W direction, and slightly less in the N/S direction. Overall, the Outemu Clicky feels pretty well contained for a clicky switch and would be a good option for those looking for a medium weight clicky switch.

Typing Sound

The Outemu Ocean Clicky uses a stem design with a similar idea to that of a Cherry MX Blue Clicky to achieve the clicky mechanism.  There are two parts to the stem, the top part of the stem for the keycaps and the bottom part for the stem rails and stem legs. This allows for the bottom part of the stem to freely move up and down as the switch is actuated, which creates the clicky mechanism. Similar to other clicky switches, the Outemu Ocean Click produces a clicky sound when actuating. The Outemu Ocean Click would be a good option to try if you are looking for clicky switch with a transparent housing for RGB.
