Switch Sound

The HMX Caramel Pudding produce a deeper pitch in comparison to other HMX switches. But in comparison to other switches, the HMX Caramel Pudding still resides on the mid to high pitch range for sound profile.

The bottom out of the HMX Caramel Pudding creates a solid mid pitch range, while the top out of the HMX Caramel Pudding makes a softer poppy sound profile on the higher pitch range. With these subtle difference in the top and bottom out, the HMX Caramel Pudding creates a slight mid tone during normal typing by combining the thick and creamy bottom out sound with the bright and poppy top out sound.

Here are some sound tests of the HMX Caramel Pudding:

Switch Feel

The HMX Caramel Pudding is consistent with other HMX switches. The HMX Caramel Pudding are smooth, have almost no stem wobble, and have a solid bottom out with a softer top out.

The HMX Caramel Pudding, with a 52g bottom out force, are relatively heavier to press than other HMX switches. But in comparison to other switches the HMX Caramel Pudding are on the lighter to medium heaviness which makes them comfortable to type on with little to no fatiguing.

Things to Note

Like other HMX switches, the HMX Caramel Pudding fit slightly looser on the plate and the PCB. The HMX Caramel Pudding might require slightly more attention to detail when trying to fit them flush on the PCB to solder. On the other hand, because the HMX Caramel Pudding and other HMX switches aren't as tightly fitted, they are easier on your hand to pull out for those who enjoy swapping switches.
