Switch Sound
The Gateron Magnetic Jade Max adds to Gateron's magnetic Hall effect switch lineup by offering a more deeper and subdued sound profile. They come with a generous amount of factory lube that is evenly applied which adds to its lower pitch and dampened sound. The Gateron Magnetic Jade Max has a new long gold-plated spring that remedies any previous spring ping or rattling. It has a solid and poppy sounding bottom out with a soft sounding top out. The Gateron Magnetic Jade Max leaves its mark as Gateron's thockiest Hall effect switch up to date.
Here is a sound test of the Gateron Magnetic Jade Max:
Switch Feel
The Gateron Magnetic Jade Max stock feels silky smooth with Gateron's factory lube. The tolerances feel tight and consistent as well, resulting in a very controlled resting state and actuations. Due to the closed bottom housing, the Gateron Magnetic Jade Max also has a solid feeling bottom out to mimic the bottom out feel of traditional MX switches. For those who have set their settings for switch travel distances more than 3.5mm, it should be noted that the Gateron Magnetic Jade Max has a shorter travel distance of 3.5mm so you should adjust the settings accordingly. The long gold-plated spring also creates a more responsive typing experience for the returns on the upstroke.
