Switch Feel

The Vertex V1 the Vertex V1 feels incredibly smooth and slick to type. There is a tiny bit of scratchiness when pushing the key very slowly, but unnoticeable during normal typing and hand lubing helps remove the scratchiness. The Vertex V1 has tight housing tolerances to prevent any unnecessary stem wobble.

The Vertex V1 has more of a long pole bottom out feel than a full travel bottom out feel despite the 4.0mm travel distance. All around, the Vertex V1 provides a comfortable typing experience that reminds us of a traditional typing feel but with modern designs and modern factory lubrication.

Switch Sound

The Vertex V1 produces sounds in the mid tones, and a soft and low pitched top out, making it a thocky switch.

One interesting design element of the Vertex V1 is that the bottom of the stem pole is a rounded spherical shape, different from the usual flat bottom or rounded bottom stem poles. The rounded bottom of the Vertex V1 stem pole is designed to deliver a fuller sound than a flat or rounded design.

The Vertex V1 would be a great choice for enthusiasts who are looking for an affordable thocky switch that doesn't required additional hand lubing.
