Material and Construction
The MMD Vivian and MMD Aqua King are designed with completely different material choices. MMD Vivian is made with a PA12 top housing, a modified PUM bottom housing, and a modified UPE stem. While MMD Aqua King is made entirely out of PC. The MMD Vivian also has an LED diffuser to allow for RGB more easily, while the housing of the MMD Aqua King is completely transparent also great for RGB. They both come factory lubed in their stock for and are ready to use right out of the box.
Operating Force and Typing Feel
Both the MMD Vivian and the MMD Aqua King have options for two different spring weights, giving users the ability to personalize the right switch for their typing needs. The MMD Vivian has options for either 43g or 53 springs while the MMD Aqua King has options for either 55g or 62g springs. If you prefer lighter switches then the options by MMD Vivian will be for you and if you prefer heavier switches then the options by MMD Aqua King will be for you.
Both the MMD Vivian and MMD Aqua King also have tight housing and stem tolerances. They have little no stem wobble in the N/S direction and very slightly wobble in the E/W direction for the MMD Vivian but hardly noticeable during normal typing. If you want the cleanest and tightest typing experience then the MMD Aqua King will be for you. If you like a little flexibility, then the MMD Vivian will be for you.
The MMD factory lubing is consistent and thorough, creating a smooth typing for both the MMD Aqua King and MMD Vivian even in their stock forms.
Sound Profile
The differences in housing and stem materials gives each individual switch their own distinct sound signature. Both the MMD Vivian and the MMD Aqua King are in the mid to lower tones. While they have similar sound in tones, they have noticebly different sounds. The MMD Vivian could be described as sounding as you'd expect two pieces of plastic hitting each other to sound, however the MMD Aqua King sound more glassy and similar to two rocks or two marbles bouncing off each other. They both have the typical sharpness and poppiness that comes from long pole stems when bottoming out. The MMD Vivian is popular for sounding deep and creamy and the MMD Aqua King is popular for sounding deep and marbly.

Final Thoughts
Both the MMD Vivian and the MMD Aqua King would be amazing to try out if you are in the market for deep and thocky switches that are budget friendly and yet feel premium. Both switches are also RGB friendly if you have a keyboard you would like to have on display. If you want a switch you might be more familar with, then the MMD Vivian would be a good option. If you are looking for a switch that sounds more marbly, then the MMD Aqua King will be worth a try. Try them out!
