The Gateron Zero Degree 0° Switch is a silent linear switch from Gateron's Dual Rail series. To achieve its silent operation, Gateron has equipped the switch with two mute pads on the top housing and four mute pads on the bottom housing. These pads are strategically placed at contact points during keypresses to reduce noise, while the dual-rail stem design ensures smooth and consistent travel.
This switch offers a unique balance of performance and noise reduction. While it avoids the mushy feel often associated with silicone-dampened silent switches, it delivers slightly less noise reduction compared to ultra-quiet options like the Durock Dolphin or Outemu Peach.
