Gateron Box Ink V2 linear switches use the sample materials as the popular Ink V2 with improved design and upgraded linear experience, more flexibility and smoothness. These switches incorporate a shorter travel distance (about 3.4mm) as well as a black-plated spring for a fast rebound, which will give you extra stability when typing or gaming.

I bought a bag of Box Ink V2 Pink with L+F service for my Tofu Fa. They sound really, really thocky and the 50g of operation force feels “just right”. I will definitely try this again for future builds :)

P.S. The bonus Oil King switch is also great.

Exactly what I wanted and delivered right on time. Every key worked perfectly when I tested them all.

The handwritten note was perfect, as was the inclusion of a sample key from the same vein (Oil Kings, which they also offer) that I had been considering as well. This allowed me to do a hands-on comparison so I knew that I was getting exactly what I wanted. The attention to detail is phenomenal.

Here's what I got with the L+F Gateron Box Black Ink v2:
- Marble-like low-mid deep thock (precisely the sound profile I was looking for)
- Localized sound reach with minimal travel (solo office, next-door neighbor couldn't hear them even though I was thunder-drumming pretty hard)
- A noticeable bottom strike with zero cush (Something I didn't know I needed until I compared it to the included sample Oil King)
- Smooth travel with no scratchiness

I came back to post this review and to order another round for another keyboard.
