Gateron Box Ink V2 Linear Switches

I've never really done any customizing of keyboards before and the Razer blackwidow V4 75% was my first step into a more compact and customizable keyboard. I got the gateron box inks because not only were the razer oranges continuing to just fail, but the box inks were toted as being great for typing. I got to say that after breaking them in I do like their feel and how the handle, even if I'm more of a tactile person.

That being said, at least around 10 of the switches I ordered came with bent pins...well, 8 or 9 did, 1 had the part you press stuck to where it wouldn't move. Thankfully the free switch that came with them as a thank you covered what was needed. I know that so many faulty switches would denote a lower score, but I'm rating these switches on how they are when working and so far they are a solid 5 stars in my opinion. I'll likely be buying another full set of switches just to test things out and swap as I please.

Hi there, I've used the switches in the board and double-checked to make sure, but I am quite sure that a few of them are broken or not working, which is not ideal. I have tested the Numpad and reset it, all of which worked perfectly with the original Gateron Blues. I have also factory reset the pad, but the switches don't actuate.

The switches are perfectly lubed and filmed. The delivery to Germany was quick. I'll buy my next switches definetly here. Two thumbs up !

I bought a bag of Box Ink V2 Pink with L+F service for my Tofu Fa. They sound really, really thocky and the 50g of operation force feels “just right”. I will definitely try this again for future builds :)

P.S. The bonus Oil King switch is also great.

Great switches sound good in my KBD craft Adam keyboard

Exactly what I wanted and delivered right on time. Every key worked perfectly when I tested them all.

The handwritten note was perfect, as was the inclusion of a sample key from the same vein (Oil Kings, which they also offer) that I had been considering as well. This allowed me to do a hands-on comparison so I knew that I was getting exactly what I wanted. The attention to detail is phenomenal.

Here's what I got with the L+F Gateron Box Black Ink v2:
- Marble-like low-mid deep thock (precisely the sound profile I was looking for)
- Localized sound reach with minimal travel (solo office, next-door neighbor couldn't hear them even though I was thunder-drumming pretty hard)
- A noticeable bottom strike with zero cush (Something I didn't know I needed until I compared it to the included sample Oil King)
- Smooth travel with no scratchiness

I came back to post this review and to order another round for another keyboard.

These are great, and the L + F is on point. However, don’t be a moron like me. These are sold in sets of 10.
